FlashGot
There are several things to like about the Mozilla Foundation-developer Firefox web browser. There’s the good looks, the browsing speed, the intuitive interface, the security features (like Private Browsing for example), the syncing capabilities (sync your browser at work with the one at home for example), and many other features.
One other great thing about the Firefox browser is that you can use add-ons to enhance the way it works. The InformAction-developed FlashGot is such an add-on. It is an add-on that turns every supported download manager into a download manager for the Firefox browser.
And it provides support for a long, long list of download managers. Focusing on the Windows OS alone, on the Microsoft-developed operating system FlashGot works with BitComet, Download Accelerator Plus, DownloadStudio, FlashGet, Free Download Manager, Fresh Download, GetRight, GigaGet, HiDownload, iGetter, InstantGet, Internet Download Accelerator, Internet Download Manager, JDownloader, LeechGet, Mass Downloader, Net Transport, NetXfer (Net Transport 2), NetAnts, Orbit, ReGet, Retriever, Star Downloader, Thunder, TrueDownloader, Ukrainian Download Master, Uget, WellGet, and wxDFast.
It also provides support for numerous download managers on Mac OS X and Linux and other Linux-like operating systems.
The functionality FlashGot has to offer will come in handy when you want to download multiple files from the web. FlashGot transforms your download manager into a download manager for your Firefox browser, putting the functionality of said download manager at your fingertips and allowing you to handle massive downloads from within the Firefox browser. Or to put it in other words, FlashGot handles single and massive ("all" and "selection") downloads with several external download managers.
You will be hard pressed to find a more advanced form of browser integration for download managers; FlashGot is simply the best.
How much do you think InformAction is asking in exchange for the functionality FlashGot has to offer? Nothing at all! FlashGot is a free, open-source application. As the Italian developer InformAction explaine, it strongly believes in the open source software philosophy. If you like the functionality FlashGot has to offer, consider making a donation to support its development.
